The Bottom Line

It is universally known and accepted that you can't just kill a human. It is sin to.
But you can defend yourself. Self above other.
So we put ourselves in uniforms and simultaneously point guns at each other - self defense! Humans just love loopholes.

We claim to fight for justice and truth. But who are we kidding? My dears, in war, truth is the first casualty. There can be no winning a war.

Sure, anger and violence are inherent to human nature.
But what good is it to be human if you cannot even curb your impulses for the betterment of yourself and the world?

Nothing is impossible. Tendencies are malleable. War is evitable. It just takes a lot of love. Love is tolerance. And tolerance can replace war.

Fogive me if I sound too idealistic, but ultimately it is true:
All we need is love.

I am all for idealists! Great post...true and blunt. We so fool ourselves by inventing new words for the same phenomenon, justify it all to ourselves so that our guilt-ridden conscience can be salvaged. But rather than indulging in this exercise, it is much easier to love.

Thanks for calling a spade a spade. May your tribe grow :)

what truth you speak when you say that by putting on uniforms, then we have just "reason" to kill. amazing what clothes can do for a person, huh?

i don't believe you're idealistic at all and you are speaking the truth....and it brings to mind a post i wrote that spoke briefly of the human condition and our world thru a conversation between mother and unborn son. that in the end, we are not a peaceful species because of sense of ego, entitlement, and superiority.

Reminds me of a bunch of war analorgies :- War for peace is like sex for aids...

It's all true.

Nice thought. But I believe war is inevitable in many circumstances. Or the only solution, at least.
